Shy Goal 5000 Dimensions and Diagrams.
The Shy Goal 5000 is an autonomous robot made entirely of Vex components. It uses four large omni wheels, four bumper switches, and two ultrasonic range finders. The Shy Goal 5000 is designed to react to other robots and actively run away from them. Triggering a single bumper switch will cause the Shy Goal 5000 to spin away from the source of contact. Triggering one of the ultrasonic range finders will cause the Shy Goal 5000 to move opposite the detected object. The triggers are designed with a delay so that multiple triggers can be combined to form complex movements. On top of the Shy Goal 5000 is a large cone in which teams may attempt to place balls to earn bonus points. If the Shy Goal 5000 ends the match in an Alliance Zone, the appropriate alliance will earn an additional bonus. Please refer to the Conefusion manual for details concerning these scoring opportunities.
